Dr Robin Harrison – CEO

Robin founded The Maestro Online music academy in 2021. He was originally classically trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and later reached no. 1 in the UK Jazz Charts and no. 33 globally for putting ‘jazzy twists’ on contemporary pop songs. He has been published by Routledge as a Kodaly expert, is regularly consulted by educational institutions from primary, secondary and university levels, and has applied the Kodaly method to whole class instrumental teaching using fife, trumpet, trombone, recorder and violin. He has been a Director of Music in a wide range of settings and has extensive experience teaching from Nursery to Undergraduate, a diploma examiner and professional piano, vocal and organ coach at national level. Robin is Founder and CEO of The Maestro Online.

Pop Piano Course

Marcus Brown

Marcus is the regular keyboardist for Madonna, James Morrison, Seal and who has also recorded on tracks for people such as Tina Turner, Celine Dion, S Club 7, Donna Summer, Honeyz, Mel C and plenty more besides. He is also a film composer and prolific user of technology such as Logic Pro (there are courses by Marcus on this in The Maestro Online music academy library).

Marcus very much advises and supports with music technology and pop piano in The Meastro Online music academy library.

Dr Douglas Coombes MBE

Douglas is an international conductor, composer, BBC Music Education producer, director. Dr Douglas Coombes MBE, current conductor of the Battle Proms at Blenheim Palace was a specialist consultant as The Maestro Online launched, reviewing course materials and the “digital magazines”. He continues to advise on an ad-hoc basis.

Mick Donnelly

Mick is a legendary saxophonist who has performed with Barry White, Britney Spears, Sting, The Bee Gees, Ronan Keating, Kool and the Gang, Lisa Stansfield, Sammy Davis Jr, Whitney Houston, Lulu, Shirley Bassey, Jr Walker, Princess, Tony Bennet, Desmond Decker, Gene Pitney, Steps, The Four Tops, Ben E King, Boy Meets Girl, Madness, Bob Mintzer, Spear of Destiny, Ian Dury, Imagination, Bobby Shew, The Temptations, Kiki Dee, Stuart Copeland, Robbie Willaims, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Swing Out Sister and many more. Mick runs his own Academy in Hartlepool, the Mick Donnelly Academy.

Mick particularly teaches how to develop melodic line, improvisation and song writing in The Maestro Online music academy library.

Bazil Meade

Bazil is Director of London Community Gospel Choir which he co-founded from scratch. LCGC performs at many of the UK’s most prestigious events, such as the International FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, Glastonbury, Live 8 and World Aids Festival as well as regular shows at Royal Albert Hall. Dubbed by the British media as ‘the nation’s favourite choir’, LCGC are the first point of call to support high end entertainment events and global humanitarian causes such as Red Nose Day, Remembrance Day, Cancer Research, Live 8, Amnesty International and World Aids Day .LCGC has collaborated, performed and recorded with artists such as – Tom Jones, Elton John, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Rod Stuart, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Adele, Gorillas, Blur, Nick Jonas, One Republic, Gregory Porter, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey and the list goes on.

Piano Lessons for Adult

Mark Walker

Mark has performed with the likes of Ronan Keating, Westlife, Simply Red, Will Young, 5ive, All Saints, Anita Baker, Gabrielle and others. He is an incredible pianist who does not read music and totally comes from the ‘ear’, ‘session musician’ perspective.

Mark particularly brings gospel piano and funk piano bass lines to The Maestro Online music academy library.

Organ Lessons and Masterclasses

Stephane Mottoul

Firmly believing that the organ has a bright future in front of him, Stéphane Mottoul is one of Europe’s leading young concert organists.

A graduate from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart and the Conservatoire National supérieur de musique et de danse in Paris, Stéphane studied alongside teachers including Ludger Lohmann (organ), Pierre Pincemaille, Thierry Escaisch and Lazlo Fassang (organ improvisation), as well as and Yves Henry (harmony, counterpoint, fugue). Subsequently, Stéphane earned a Master’s degree in church music at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg-im-Breisgau (Germany).

Known for his imaginative choice of registrations and use of the organ (Music Web International, 2018) he has received numerous prizes in different organ competitions, including the Dudelange International Organ Competition where he was awarded both First Prize and Public Prize in organ improvisation and Third Prize in organ interpretation. Stéphane was also awarded the belgian noteworthy Hubert Schoonbroodt Prize for excellence in organ playing.

Stéphane’s wide and eclectic repertoire covers a large period, from Early Baroque to the 21st Century. Stéphane is also regarded as an accomplished improvisator, focusing on various improvisation styles – baroque, romantic, modern.

He also has perfected over the years the art of accompanying a silent film through improvisation. Notable films include ‘The Hunchback of Notre-Dame’ and ‘The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari’.

His debut recording ‘Maurice Duruflé: Complete organ works’ (Aeolus, 2018), has been received to high praise all around the world.

Stéphane was recently appointed Director of music at the Hofkirche St. Leodegar in Lucerne (Switzerland) its monumental historical organ and is a member of the Royal college of organists.

Marsha Morrison, a dynamic performer, conductor, arranger and coach with a diverse and eclectic background includes pop, reggae and gospel and workshops across the stage, TV, commercials, radio, tours, studio recordings and workshops.

Some credits include work with some of the UK’s leading gospel choirs: The Kingdom Choir, The Spirituals and London Community Gospel Choir

Her work with solo artists includes: Emeli Sande, Westlife, Stormzy, Joss Stone, JP Cooper, Shane Richie, Alexandra Burke, Ellie Goulding, Pixie Lott, The Madness and more.

Marsha devotes much of her work to nurturing the talents of others and making a positive impact through the arts in education and communities.

Success C Onuoha

Success is a creative professional focusing on communications and management – digital content strategy, writing, and communication management for corporate organizations and businesses.

Rebecca Gleave brings considerable educational and national level music experience having been Head of Marketing for the ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians). She works on a daily basis for The Maestro Online in advisory, management and marketing capacities.

Deeptarko Chowdhury

Deeptarko is a student of English literature, in love with digital media and computer science.

His interests include writing, graphic design, audio production, 2D animation, web-development and ranting on Facebook about stupidity.

He also enjoys a good joke, or a bad one, even distasteful ones sometimes. Nothing is beyond humour. C’est la vie.

Molly Nixon

Molly is a Fashion Design graduate working freelance on projects with the Maestro Online before studying a Masters of Fashion in London. Molly has worked for brands such as Markus Lupfer and Fenwick. Her interests include design, pattern-cutting, illustration, reading and running.

Shalini Roy
